Link Settings

Any content shared in Enablix is shared as a link, with options to customize settings like download permissions, access restrictions, and more.

Secured Sharing & Link Gating

Depending on how you're sharing, click More or Customize Link and switch to the Security tab. Options include:

  • Allow Anyone with the Link to View the Asset — Default (not secured)
  • Restrict Who can View the Asset — Restrict access by specific emails or email domains, recipients will need to enter their email and verify it before viewing content
  • Recipient to Enter Their Email to View the Asset — To view content, recipients will need to enter their email (with option to allow immediate access or require email verification)

Testing secured links and it's not working? If you're logged into Enablix, the system already knows who you are — so you'll bypass the verification step automatically. To test the full recipient experience, sign out of Enablix or open an incognito window.

General Customizations

Control download permissions and more by clicking More or Customize Link, depending on how you're sharing. Options include:

  • Allow Download — If a file, controls download permissions
  • Share Using — If sharing it in a template, sequence, or marketing email, share a link for the platform you're sharing from to automatically capture who's viewing it
  • Link Title — Content's title is visible to recipients, update it here
  • Link Name — Used to further identify links including where they were used (e.g. 'LinkedIn Post - [date]')
  • On Click — If a file, control if it opens in a web view or downloads automatically
  • Send Notification — If the content is viewed, who shared it receives an email notification (if bulk sharing like in a marketing email, we recommend unchecking this)
  • Do Not Track — Disables activity tracking (not recommended)

Editing & Disabling Links

Already shared content but forgot to customize the link? You can edit or disable the link at any time by one of the following options:

  • Open the content, click Content Insights > Links tab
  • Go to My Stuff > My Links tab
  • Go to Insights > Engagement tab > Links (admin feature)

Most users will only be able to edit and disable links they've shared. Admins will be able to edit and disable all links, regardless of who shared it.

Default Settings (Admin)

Users can customize links at the time of sharing. Admins can customize links at the content level and can also restrict users from being able to customize links at all for that content going forward.

Note that any changes to Default Link Settings will only apply to future shares — previously shared links are not affected.
