Customizing Links
Content in Enablix is shared via links. You can optionally customize the link. Customizations include security settings such as access restrictions and general settings such as download permissions.
Security Customizations
By default, links are not secured.
To customize the security settings:
- Depending on how you're sharing, click More or Customize link and click the Security tab
- In the Security Options dropdown, select from the following options:
- Allow anyone with the link to view the asset Default
- Restrict who can view the asset Specific emails or email domains
- Recipient to enter their email ID to view the asset Gating the link - with or without OTP
General Customizations
To customize the general settings:
- Depending on how you're sharing, click More or Customize link
- Options include:
- Link Name Used to identify specific links, you can update it to make it easily identifiable (e.g. 'LinkedInPost - [date]')
- Share Using Share a platform-specific link
- On Click If its a file, control whether it opens in web view or automatically downloads
- Allow Download If its a file, control download permissions
- Send Notification By default, when the content is viewed, the user who shared it receives an email notification. If sharing in bulk, we recommend unchecking this.
- Do Not Track Disable tracking on the link (not recommended)
- Link Title By default, the content's title is visible to the visitor, you can update it here
Editing & Disabling Links
Forget to allow download?
Forget to customize the link or share the wrong content? Edit and disable links from:
- Content Insights > Links tab
- My Stuff > My Links
- Insights > Engagement > Links
Default Settings
When you customize a link - those customizations only apply to the link you're about to share. To customize all links going forward for a specific piece of content, system roles Admins and Approved Contributors can update it's Default Settings.
Note: Updating a piece of content's Default Settings only affects links going forward, not previously shared links. To customize previously shared links, you need to edit them individually.
