Customize Link Settings
Whether you're sharing directly from Enablix or via extensions, content is shared as a trackable link. You can customize that link's settings at any time — including download permissions, access restrictions, and more.

Security Settings
By default, links are not secured. To restrict access or gate the link, click More or Customize Link and navigate to the Security tab:
- Restrict Who Can View the Asset — limit access to specific email addresses or domains. Recipients will be prompted to enter their email and verify it with a one-time passcode (OTP).
- Require Email to View the Asset — recipients enter their email to access the content. Select whether to require OTP verification or not.
- Engagement Hub Members Only — exclusive to Engagement Hubs. Only members of the Engagement Hub can access the link; all others will be denied.
General Settings
Click More or Customize Link and navigate to the General tab:
- Allow Download — controls whether file content can be downloaded
- Share Using — if bulk sharing in a template, sequence, or marketing email, switch to a link for the platform you're using for better engagement data [learn more]
- Link Title — the content's title as visible to recipients; update it here if needed
- Link Name — used to identify where a link was shared (e.g. "LinkedIn Post [date]")
- On Click — controls whether file content opens in a web view or downloads automatically
- Send Notification — sends an email notification to the person who shared the content when it's viewed
- Do Not Track — disables activity tracking (not recommended)
Editing & Disabling Links
You can edit or disable a shared link at any time from any of the following:
- Open the content and click Content Insights > Links
- Go to My Stuff > My Links
- Go to Insights > Engagement > Links (Admins, Approved Contributors, and Insights Users only)
Note: Most users can only edit or disable links they've shared. Admins, Approved Contributors, and Insights Users can edit or disable any link regardless of who shared it.
Default Settings (Admins & Approved Contributors Only)
Admins and Approved Contributors can set default link settings at the content level and restrict users from making further customizations — in addition to customizing links at the time of sharing.
Note: Changes to default link settings only apply to future shares. To update a previously shared link, you must edit it individually from My Stuff > My Links or Content Insights > Links.
