Metadata

Metadata refers to anything on the left-hand side of an asset. This includes:

Content Type

When adding content, you must select a Content Type, which categorizes your content (e.g. blog, presentation, video).

This video demonstrates how to select and change a Content Type, including how administrators can add, modify, and delete Content Types from Company Settings > Content Types tab:

Categories & Labels

Add Labels to your content (optional but recommended, especially for published content).

This video demonstrates how to add Labels, including how administrators can add, modify, and delete Categories & Labels from Company Settings > Categories & Labels tab:

Owner

By default, the user who adds the content is the Owner.

To change the Owner, hover over the three dots to the right of share and click Change Owner:

Version Date

By default, the Version Date is set to the date you last added or edited the content, but you can manually select a different date:

When searching, content is displayed with the newest Version Date first:

Excerpt

External description - Visible to recipients when the content is shared via email, added to a Microsite or Engagement Hub, or shared to a CX Portal.

Shareable

Shareable Values control whether content can be shared externally or requires Enablix login to view.

Access

For Published content, use Access Groups to control which Enablix users can see it (e.g. Administrators only, sales team, leadership).

This video demonstrates how to add Access Groups to content, including how administrators can add, modify, and delete Access Groups from Company Settings > Access tab:

Collaborators

By default, Collaborators receive email notifications when the asset is updated or deleted. They can opt in for additional email notifications in their User Profile.

For Owner's Private Content (Save as My Content), the content is only available to the Owner, administrators, and Collaborators.

Properties

Need more content organization options? Properties are customizable metadata fields that let you organize content beyond the standard options.

This video demonstrates how Properties work and how they differ from Categories & Labels. It also shows administrators how to add, modify, and delete Properties from Company Settings > Properties tab:
