Adding, Editing, Deleting, & Archiving Content
To Add Content
- From the Home page, click Add and select a content format:
- File
- URL
- Text
- Content Kits
- Microsites
- Engagement Hubs
- Import (Admin only)
- Enter a title and select a Content Type.
- (Optional) Fill in additional metadata:
- Description: Visible to Enablix users.
- Excerpt: Visible to external recipients when shared via email, Engagement Hubs, or Microsites.
- Shareable: Choose whether content can be shared outside your organization.
- Access: Restrict access to select Enablix user groups (if applicable).
- Collaborators: Give other Enablix users access to content saved with Save as My Content.
- Labels: Organize content by solution, service, and more.
- Choose a save option:
- Save as My Content: Content is accessible to you, Admins, and any Collaborators you add.
- Request Approval: Sends the content to an Admin for review. If approved, it becomes accessible to all Enablix users.
- Publish (Admin only): Content is immediately accessible to all Enablix users.
💡 The more metadata you fill in, the easier your content is to find in search.
To Edit Content
- Open the content and click the edit pencil icon.
- Make your changes.
- Choose a save option (same as above).

For other edits, like changing the Content Type or Owner, hover over the three dots to the right of Share and select an option.

❓ Who can edit content? All users can edit content, but they can only save using the options their role allows. For example, to update Published content, users who can't Publish need to use Request Approval.
❓ Should I edit content, or delete it and add a new version? Always edit. Edited content keeps the same links active, so recipients see the latest version, and you keep all of its engagement tracking.
💡 Admins can bulk edit content in Content Manager.
To Delete or Archive Content
To Delete Content
⚠️ Deleting is permanent and removes the content and its engagement tracking. To keep either, Admins can archive Published content instead.
- Open the content.
- Hover over the three dots to the right of Share.
- Select Delete.

To Archive Content (Admin only)
- Open the content.
- Hover over the three dots to the right of Share.
- Select Archive.
To unarchive content, follow the same steps and select Unarchive. Only Published content can be archived. Archived content won't appear in search results, but Admins can view it in the Content Manager > Assets tab.
